What this site collects

Last updated October 6, 2026

This is the website of Jared P. Woods, author of The Cerythian Chronicles, published under the imprint Hollow Bound Books. I run it myself. This page explains in plain terms what information the site collects, what I do with it, and how to have it removed.

What I collect

• Your email address, if you sign up for the newsletter or the free field guide, A Traveler's Glimpse of Cerythia.
• Your ARC application, if you apply to read an advance copy: your name, your email address, and the answers you give on the form.
• Basic visit information, collected automatically: which pages were viewed, which buttons were clicked, the type of device and browser, your IP address, and the general location it points to.

I do not collect payment details. Book purchases happen at the retailer you choose, under that retailer's own privacy policy.

How I use it

• To send you the field guide you asked for, and news about the books.
• To choose and contact advance readers.
• To see whether my advertising is working, and to show my ads to readers who are likely to enjoy the books.

I do not sell your information, and I do not rent or trade my mailing list.

The services I use

A few companies handle this information on my behalf. Each has its own privacy policy.

• MailerLite stores the mailing list and sends my emails. It records your signup date and IP address, and whether emails are opened and links are clicked.
• Netlify hosts this site and stores ARC applications.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram). This site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code that sets cookies and tells Meta when a page is viewed or a signup is completed. Meta uses that to measure my ads and to decide who sees them, and may connect it with your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser contacts Google to load them.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
• Ask me to delete or send you your information by writing to jared@jaredpwoods.com. I will take care of it promptly.
• Limit ad tracking in your Meta ad preferences, through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to see, correct, or delete the information held about you. Wherever you live, I will honor a request to do any of those.

Younger readers

These are young adult books and this site is meant for readers 13 and older. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, write to me and I will remove it.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top will change with it.
